Swimming Instructor & Programs Assistant

Sujeidy joined Fundación Mariposa at age 7, and it was there that she learned to swim for the first time. Over the years, she grew from a curious young swimmer into a skilled waterwoman–picking up surfing and kitesurfing along the way and completing her lifeguard certification.

Now 22 years old, Sujeidy has come full circle: she is back at Mariposa as the organization's swim instructor, teaching the next generation of girls the same skill that once opened up the ocean for her. Her journey from student to instructor is a testament to the lasting impact of Mariposa's programs and the power of paying it forward.
