Mikerline was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and moved to Cabarete at the age of 16. One of eight siblings, the majority of Mikerline’s family still lives in Haiti. She has raised four beautiful daughters, and three of them are currently enrolled in Mariposa programs, with the fourth at 3 Mariposa Montessori, Mariposa’s sister school. Having joined the Mariposa team in January of 2023, Mikerline enjoys being in an environment where her colleagues are very caring and always willing to share and help each other. Mikerline gained experience working alongside her mother and always finds deep satisfaction in a clean space. Mikerline also has cooking experience from working in the kitchen of several local restaurants and is always willing to help in the kitchen if they need an extra hand. Her flexibility and willingness to help where needed are admirable. She is also now a certified reflexologist through a course offered to Mariposa staff and graduates. Mikerline considers herself to be a simple person, full of love, always willing to share, and loves her colleagues and spending time with them.
