Miguel grew up in Los Castillos, Sosua – neighboring Cabarete. Miguel is currently studying Tourism and Hotel Business Management at UTESA Puerto Plata. His interests stemmed from being surrounded by tourism his whole life and having had direct experience working at hotels and condominiums. Miguel’s skill set includes all things buildings and grounds maintenance, landscaping and gardening, and is a trained electrician, plumber, and pool service technician. Miguel is one of six siblings, three being sisters, and his work at Mariposa being surrounded by so many empowered women reminds him of growing up with his sisters. Miguel is an extremely humble person and a huge asset to the Mariposa community and property.
