Experiential and service learning are at the core of what Mariposa DR Foundation is about. We practice what we preach. The girls in our program are becoming educated young women and leaders of their community because of the hundreds of hours of community engaged learning included in our innovative curriculum design.

Our experiences provide a unique opportunity for students to relate academics to real-life situations and foster a sense of civic responsibility. They are a powerful medium for cross-cultural exchanges and open up new horizons for students and the community members working alongside them.

Our trip leaders live and work in Cabarete and so the journey never ends for us. We know that the experiences we provide in the Dominican Republic play a significant role in shaping the world views of the compassionate young people who participate in our programs.
